Goals

I will work alongside you to identify the goals you want to achieve and develop a plan to help you reach them. This plan can take the form of a SMART goal or a more in‑depth PATH or MAP plan, depending on what best suits your needs.

Together, we can create both short‑term and long‑term goals and work towards them at the same time, ensuring steady progress while keeping your bigger vision in mind.

Socialisation

Individuals on the autism spectrum often find social situations challenging. The world is largely designed with neurotypical expectations in mind, which can make social environments overwhelming. Noise, unpredictability, and unclear social rules can leave someone unsure of how to act or what to say.

Together, we can explore strategies and tools that support navigating social situations more comfortably. This may include preparing for social interactions, using sensory supports, building communication skills, and developing personalised coping techniques.

Emotional Regulation

Often those living with autism struggle to identify and express what they are feeling or are not aware that they are becoming overwhelmed until it boils over.

Emotional regulation is focused on connecting with what you are feeling and the physical cues i.e. tight jaw or tension in your shoulders. We then explore these and the emotions associated with these and look at some ways that we may manage the intense emotions including breathing exercises, fidgets or CBT.

 

 

Peer Support

Peer support is built on shared lived experience grounded in the idea that people with shared experiences can offer each other understanding.

The purpose of Peer Support is not to fix, but to empower  an individual and help them with practical strategies from real life. It can reduce the feeling of isolation as one connects and understands what the other is going through.
